The Part of You That No One Sees |
You have a vision of how things should be, and you do your best to make things happen. People rely on you for your strength. You are a rock to many. Underneath it all, you aren't so sure about your passions. So many ideas spark your interest, it is hard for you to get behind a select few. However, you see indecision as a sign of weakness. So you pursue your goals full force - no matter how foolish they turn out to be. |

Well Crap!....
So...well about that singing and dancing post...about me being free...um...yeah...clearly not the case....hey...I'm lonely over here!...and they've only been gone..oh...about three hours...and it's early out...this was much harder than I had imagined...well really I didn't imagine it would be hard...hopefully the tears will end soon...and yes....I will still be doing that socialness thing....clearly I need help...however...I was reminded...I won't say by who....that there is plenty to do in the basement...you know...in case I get bored....he did tell me I could call him all day today..and he could help me thru the tears...but I found Julie on IM to be quite helpful...she needs me...and I need to be needed....
Flag Ceremony....and total chaos....
k...so we're finally at the school now...we find Tanner has made it in line behind his teacher...Jackson...not so much...um....he's lost apparently...so...his big brother got off the bus and took off...so Jackson wandered...he didn't know who to look for...as his teacher is new this year...so no visual...and he can't read...yet...so...Eric wandered to try to find him....me...I'm no good in moments like these...yup...I stood there like a complete idiot...but guess who found him...well actually he found me...this nice lady was wandering with him...to help him find his teacher...after a short break down...he was fine...and then so was I...we took him to meet his teacher....and guess what...yup...she's cute...so he's all good.....
Bust Stop Etiquette....
Yup...there is proper rules at the bus stop...first...you arrive at least 30 minutes early...to be first in line...and no you don't stand there for half an hour...you put your backpack in line...to save your place of course...so you can be free to run and jump around like wild hooligans....unless..of course...you use your backpack as a weapon...then you risk being last in line to get on the bus....
Muffins and Juice....at the Bus Stop...it's tradition...
So every year we have muffins and juice at the bus stop on the first day of school...then we wait for the bus to pick up the kids...then the parents get in their cars...and follow the bus to school for the flag ceremony....interesting side note...the bus stop isn't as crowded this year...our subdivision has been cut in half...so now....two bus stops for Hunters Creek...maybe no backpack fights this year...I can hope can't I?....

The Eve Before School.....
So it's the evening before school...and Kaitlyn is a bundle of nerves...and the boys...are just realizing...whaaa???...the summers over?...me...I can't stop dancing and singing....I'M FREE...yup...that would be FREE...my mom...Tami...and I...will be filling our days with much needed adult socialness..is that even a word...who cares..we're doin' it...and my across the street neighbor is jealous...ya...I'm cool....

I Love George Carlin...He was a tell it like it is kinda guy
George died from a heart attack at age 71. What he wrote when his wife passed away is certainly worth repeating today
GEORGE CARLIN
Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate when his wife died recently.
A Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things .
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... !
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
